Massage Therapy in Takapuna: Thrive Is Coming to the North Shore
For years, many of our clients have crossed the Harbour Bridge to see us in the city. Now we're coming to you. Thrive Therapy Clinic is opening a second clinic in Takapuna, with bookings open from Monday 5 October.
If you've been looking for a specialist massage therapist in Takapuna, or anywhere on the North Shore, here's everything you need to know.
Where to find us
Our Takapuna clinic is a private treatment room inside The Skin Department at 8a Anzac Street, Takapuna.
We'll be open 3-4 days each week, 9am-6pm. Our Auckland CBD clinic isn't going anywhere: same days, same hours, same team. Takapuna is an addition, so you can book whichever location suits you best.
Massage and treatments in Takapuna
We're bringing the same specialist, results-focused care you know from Thrive in the city.
Sports and deep tissue massage. Targeted work for tight, overworked muscles, whether you train hard, sit at a desk all day, or both. Every session is tailored to what your body needs that day.
Dry needling. Available with Annabel and Michelle, dry needling can help release stubborn trigger points alongside hands-on massage.
TMJ and jaw tension. Clenching, grinding and jaw tightness are more common than most people realise. We offer specialist treatment focused on the jaw, neck and surrounding muscles.
FaceUp advanced facial massage. A sculpting, lifting facial massage that works the muscles of the face, neck and jaw, with no products or needles involved.
Lymphatic drainage. A gentle, rhythmic massage that supports the body's lymphatic system. It's popular for reducing puffiness and fluid retention, and for supporting recovery.
Meet your Takapuna therapists
Annabel, founder and lead therapist, will be seeing clients for facial massage, deep tissue, dry needling and lymphatic drainage in Takapuna.
Michelle, our senior therapist, has been part of the Thrive team for three years. She specialises in sports massage, deep tissue, TMJ treatment and dry needling.
Katie is our FaceUp advanced facial massage specialist and deep tissue bodywork therapist.
What to expect at your first visit
Your first appointment starts with a conversation about what's bothering you, your lifestyle and what you'd like to get out of your session. Your therapist will then tailor the treatment to you, and give you a few simple things to work on between visits if they'll help.
There's no need to prepare anything. Wear something comfortable and arrive a few minutes early.
